Twenty Thanksgiving Bible trivia questions about people who gave thanks to God: the one leper who came back to thank Jesus, Jesus giving thanks for five loaves, Daniel at his open window, Jonah in the fish, Hannah, Paul and Silas at midnight, and the thanks songs of Psalm 100, 107 and 136. Every answer has its Bible reference, so kids can look it up and read it.
Play it as: a team quiz in Sunday school the week before Thanksgiving, a table game at a church Thanksgiving dinner, or a family game while the food finishes cooking. Bonus round: everyone says Psalm 136:1 together after each correct answer.
Talk about it
After the last question, ask: who in these stories gave thanks when things were hard? (Jonah in the fish, Daniel when praying was against the law, Paul and Silas in prison.) Read 1 Thessalonians 5:18, the memory verse of our ten lepers story set, and let each child name one thing to thank God for.
