- The Ten Lepers
These are Thanksgiving Bible verses for kids, all about being thankful to God and all in the King James Version. Print the cards, cut them apart and use them for:
- Memory verses: one card a week through November.
- Place cards: set a card at every seat on the Thanksgiving table and read them aloud before the meal.
- A thankful jar: drop the cards in a jar and let a child draw one at family prayer time.
- Thank-you notes: glue a verse inside a card for a teacher, a pastor or a neighbor.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 is the memory verse of our ten lepers story, where one healed man came back to thank Jesus. More stories of giving thanks are in Bible stories about giving thanks.

Talk about it
Read Luke 17:15–17 together. Jesus healed ten men, but only one came back to say thank you. Ask: what has God done for you this year? Let each child name one thing and finish with Psalm 107:1 together.
Tips
- Print on cardstock so the cards last. One sheet makes 8 cards.
- Little ones: start with the short verses (Psalm 103:2, Psalm 118:24, 2 Corinthians 9:15) and say them together.
- Older kids: race to find each reference in a Bible before reading the card.
