Teaching through the Bible

Kids remember stories. Our library is organized around 85 Bible stories, from Creation to Paul's shipwreck. Each story page gathers everything for that lesson: a short summary in kid language, the memory verse reference, big ideas to teach, and every printable we have for it.

A simple Sunday morning plan:

  • Welcome (5 min): coloring page or word search on the tables as kids arrive.
  • Bible story (10 min): tell it with energy; read a key verse straight from the Bible.
  • Talk (10 min): three or four questions: What happened? What does it show us about God? What will you do this week?
  • Memory verse (5 min): say it together with motions.
  • Activity (15 min): craft, game or trivia review.
  • Pray (5 min).

How long should a Sunday school lesson be?

For elementary kids, plan 45–60 minutes. Try a 5-minute opening, a 10-minute Bible story, 10 minutes of discussion and memory verse, then 15–20 minutes of craft or game. Preschoolers do best with 5–10 minute chunks.

What should a Sunday school lesson include?

A clear big idea, the Bible story told faithfully, a few questions that help kids apply it, a memory verse, prayer, and a hands-on activity like a craft, coloring page or game.
