These free Rahab and the Spies mazes come in three levels, so every child in your class gets a maze they can finish. Help the two spies find the way from Rahab's window to the mountain!

  • Easy (ages 4–6): one path with no wrong turns.
  • Medium (grades K–2): two or three side paths that lead to dead ends.
  • Hard (grades 3–5): many wrong turns, with side paths branching off other side paths.

Each level downloads on its own, with or without an answer key, and every maze has the King James verse Joshua 2:11.

Talk about it: Rahab "let them down by a cord through the window" (Joshua 2:15). She said, "Get you to the mountain... and hide yourselves there three days" (Joshua 2:16). Then the two men came to Joshua "and told him all things that befell them" (Joshua 2:23).

Use them after the Rahab and the Spies Bible story page, with the crossword and word search.

The Bible story

Joshua sent two men to spy secretly in Jericho, and they lodged in the house of a woman named Rahab. When the king of Jericho sent for them, she hid them with the stalks of flax upon the roof, and on the roof she told them, "the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath." She let them down by a cord through the window, because her house was upon the town wall, and they told her to bind "this line of scarlet thread in the window" and bring all her father's household home unto her. By faith Rahab "perished not with them that believed not." Read the whole story in Joshua 2:1–24; Hebrews 11:31 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath." (Joshua 2:11, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Using the mazes in class

  • Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
  • Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
  • Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.

Answer keys

Each level downloads two ways: the puzzle on its own, or with a second page that shows the answer (the path drawn in red). Print the key for helpers, or let kids check their own work.
