Each story's maze comes in three levels. Easy has one path and no wrong turns (ages 4–6), medium has two or three side paths that end in dead ends (kindergarten to 2nd grade), and hard has many wrong turns, with side paths branching off other side paths (3rd to 5th grade).

Each maze follows a moment from the story, like the shepherds hurrying to Bethlehem, and prints a talk-about-it line with Bible references plus the story's memory verse from the King James Version.
