Talk about it: Paul abode with Aquila and Priscilla and wrought, "for by their occupation they were tentmakers" (Acts 18:3). They sailed with Paul, and he left them at Ephesus (Acts 18:18–19). There they took Apollos unto them, and "expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly" (Acts 18:26).
Use them after the Priscilla and Aquila Sunday school lesson, with the crossword and word search.
The Bible story
Paul came to Corinth and found a Jew named Aquila with his wife Priscilla; because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought, "for by their occupation they were tentmakers." Priscilla and Aquila sailed with Paul and he left them at Ephesus. There a Jew named Apollos, "an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures," spake boldly in the synagogue, "knowing only the baptism of John," and when Aquila and Priscilla had heard him, "they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly." Read the whole story in Acts 18:1–4; 18:18–19; 18:24–26 (KJV).
Memory verse: "And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly." (Acts 18:26, KJV). It is printed on every level.
Using the mazes in class
- Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
- Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
- Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.
Answer keys
Each level downloads two ways: the puzzle on its own, or with a second page that shows the answer (the path drawn in red). Print the key for helpers, or let kids check their own work.
