This resurrection worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every Easter class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Matthew 27–28 and Luke 24 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.

How to use it

Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.

What's on each level

  • Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (the tomb, the great stone, the angel, "he is risen," the fish Jesus ate), two "circle the number" questions (two women named Mary, the third day) and "He is risen, as he said" to trace and copy.
  • Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (the linen cloth, the great stone, the angel, white as snow, great joy, Jesus' feet, Peter at the tomb, the broiled fish), plus Matthew 28:6 with four missing words.
  • Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Matthew 28:6 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
  • Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.

It comes in three levels. Easy is for ages 4–6: kids circle the right word and trace part of the verse. Medium is for kindergarten through 2nd grade: kids fill in the blanks from a word box. Hard is for grades 3–5: kids look up each answer in their Bible.

Is there an answer key?

Yes. Every level downloads two ways: the worksheet by itself, or the worksheet with an answer key page that gives every answer and its Bible reference.

What memory verse is on the worksheet?

Matthew 28:6 (KJV), "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." On the easy sheet kids trace "He is risen, as he said," on the medium sheet they fill in four missing words, and on the hard sheet they write the whole verse with only the first letters given.
