- A Bible
Steps
- Print the cards and cut each page in half on the dashed line. Cut apart the calling slips on the last page and put them in a bowl.
- Give every player a card and a handful of beans. JESUS in the middle is free, so everyone covers it first.
- Draw a slip, read the word, then read its verse from a Bible. Players cover the word if it is on their card.
- Five in a row across, down or corner to corner wins. The winner reads their five words back so you can check.
- Keep going for a second winner, or play until someone covers the whole card.
Resurrection bingo is an Easter party game that reviews the real Easter story. There are 30 different cards (two per page) and 35 calling slips. Every word comes straight from the Gospels, from the crowds crying "Hosanna" to the empty tomb, and each slip names the verse, so the caller reads a little of the Bible with every word. JESUS sits in the center of every card as the free square.
The Easter story sets: the lessons, crafts, coloring pages and puzzles for The Triumphal Entry (memory verse Matthew 21:9), The Last Supper (John 13:34), Jesus Dies on the Cross (Romans 5:8) and Jesus Is Alive! (Matthew 28:6) tell the same story with the same memory verses.

Talk about it
When someone wins, ask them to pick one of their five words and tell what happened in the story. End with the free square: read Matthew 28:5–6 together. The women came looking for Jesus, which was crucified, and the angel said, "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said."
Tips
- Use dried beans, buttons or small paper crosses as markers.
- For younger kids, the caller can hold up the slip so they can match the letters.

Frequently asked questions
How do you play resurrection bingo?
Each player gets a card. The leader draws a word, reads its verse from the Gospels, and players cover the word if they have it. Five in a row wins, and JESUS in the center is free.
What are good resurrection games for Sunday school?
Games that retell the real story work best. Resurrection bingo reviews the whole Easter story, from the triumphal entry to the empty tomb, and pairs well with our Easter left right game and Easter Bible trivia.
Are all the bingo words really in the Bible?
Yes. Every word on the cards is checked against the King James text of the verse printed on its calling slip, so you can read the verse aloud as you call it.
