- Jesus Calms the Storm
This Jesus calms the storm worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, count, and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Mark 4:35–41 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.
How to use it
Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.
What's on each level
- Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (the boat, the storm, Jesus asleep, "Peace, be still," the wind and sea obey), two counting questions (one pillow, three words) and "I will trust in thee" to trace and copy.
- Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (the other side, the other little ships, the great storm, the pillow, "Master," "Peace, be still," the wind ceased, the wind and sea obey Him), plus Psalm 56:3 with three missing words.
- Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Psalm 56:3 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
- Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.
Tips
- For the hard level, give each child or pair a King James Bible open to Mark 4.
