These free Way, the Truth, and the Life mazes come in three levels, so every child in your class gets a maze they can finish. Help Thomas find the way to Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life!

  • Easy (ages 4–6): one path with no wrong turns.
  • Medium (grades K–2): two or three side paths that lead to dead ends.
  • Hard (grades 3–5): many wrong turns, with side paths branching off other side paths.

Each level downloads on its own, with or without an answer key, and every maze has the King James verse John 14:6.

Talk about it: Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2). Thomas asked, "how can we know the way?" (John 14:5). Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6).

Use them after the The Way, the Truth, and the Life Bible story page, with the crossword and word search.

The Bible story

Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." He said that in His Father's house are many mansions, that He goes to prepare a place, and that He will come again. Thomas said, "Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?" Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Read the whole story in John 14:1–6 (KJV).

Memory verse: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Using the mazes in class

  • Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
  • Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
  • Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.

Answer keys

Each level downloads two ways: the puzzle on its own, or with a second page that shows the answer (the path drawn in red). Print the key for helpers, or let kids check their own work.
