- The Way, the Truth, and the Life
This Way, the Truth, and the Life worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in John 14 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.
How to use it
Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.
What's on each level
- Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (heart, mansions, come again, Thomas, the way), two "circle the number" questions (the way, the truth and the life; Thomas and Philip) and "the way, the truth, and the life" to trace and copy.
- Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (a troubled heart, many mansions, prepare a place, come again, Thomas, the truth, Philip, seen the Father), plus John 14:6 with four missing words.
- Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write John 14:6 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
- Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.
Tips
- For the hard level, give each child or pair a King James Bible open to John 14.
- Early finishers can try the Way, the Truth, and the Life word search, crossword or maze.
