  • Easy (ages 4–6): one path with no wrong turns.
  • Medium (grades K–2): two or three side paths that lead to dead ends.
  • Hard (grades 3–5): many wrong turns, with side paths branching off other side paths.

Each level downloads on its own, with or without an answer key, and every maze has the King James verse Luke 18:1.

Talk about it: A widow came unto the judge, saying, "Avenge me of mine adversary" (Luke 18:3). Because of her continual coming, he said, "I will avenge her" (Luke 18:5). Jesus taught "that men ought always to pray, and not to faint" (Luke 18:1).

Use them after the The Persistent Widow Sunday school lesson, with the crossword and word search.

The Bible story

Jesus spake a parable "that men ought always to pray, and not to faint." There was a judge "which feared not God, neither regarded man," and a widow kept coming to him, saying, "Avenge me of mine adversary." Because of "her continual coming," he did it, and Jesus said God will avenge "his own elect, which cry day and night unto him" and "will avenge them speedily." Read the whole story in Luke 18:1–8 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;" (Luke 18:1, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Using the mazes in class

  • Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
  • Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
  • Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.

Answer keys

Each level downloads two ways: the puzzle on its own, or with a second page that shows the answer (the path drawn in red). Print the key for helpers, or let kids check their own work.
