This Persistent Widow worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Luke 18 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.

How to use it

Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.

What's on each level

  • Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (pray, the city, the widow, kept coming, day and night), two "circle the number" questions (one judge; the judge and the widow) and "men ought always to pray" to trace and copy.
  • Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (the parable, the judge, the widow, the adversary, "for a while", her continual coming, day and night, speedily), plus Luke 18:1 with four missing words.
  • Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Luke 18:1 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
  • Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.
