These free Hezekiah's Prayer mazes come in three levels, so every child in your class gets a maze they can finish. Help Isaiah find the way back to Hezekiah to tell him God heard his prayer!

  • Easy (ages 4–6): one path with no wrong turns.
  • Medium (grades K–2): two or three side paths that lead to dead ends.
  • Hard (grades 3–5): many wrong turns, with side paths branching off other side paths.

Each level downloads on its own, with or without an answer key, and every maze has the King James verse 2 Kings 20:5.

Talk about it: Before Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him (2 Kings 20:4). God said, "Turn again, and tell Hezekiah... I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears" (2 Kings 20:5). God hears us when we pray, too.

Use them after the Hezekiah's Prayer Bible story page, with the crossword and word search.

The Bible story

Hezekiah was sick unto death, and the prophet Isaiah told him, "Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live." Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. The LORD sent Isaiah back to say, "I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee," and to add unto his days fifteen years; they laid a lump of figs on the boil, and he recovered. For a sign, the LORD brought the shadow ten degrees backward on the dial of Ahaz. Read the whole story in 2 Kings 20:1–11 (KJV).

Memory verse: "Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD." (2 Kings 20:5, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Using the mazes in class

  • Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
  • Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
  • Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.

Answer keys

Each level downloads two ways: the puzzle on its own, or with a second page that shows the answer (the path drawn in red). Print the key for helpers, or let kids check their own work.
