Elisha and the Shunammite Woman for Kids: Bible Story & Printables

The story in a nutshell

A great woman in Shunem saw that Elisha was "an holy man of God," and asked her husband to make him a little chamber on the wall with a bed, a table, a stool and a candlestick. Elisha said she would embrace a son, and she bare a son at that season, but when the child was grown he said to his father, "My head, my head," and he died. She laid him on the bed of the man of God and rode to Elisha at mount Carmel, saying, "It is well," and she would not leave him. Elisha came, shut the door, prayed unto the LORD and stretched himself upon the child, and the child sneezed seven times and opened his eyes, and Elisha said, "Take up thy son."
