Dagon Falls Before the Ark for Kids: Bible Story & Printables
The story in a nutshell
The Philistines took the ark of God and set it by their idol Dagon in the house of Dagon at Ashdod. Early the next morning, "Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD." They set him in his place again, but the next morning he had fallen again, and his head and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold. The hand of the LORD was heavy upon them, so they sent the ark from Ashdod to Gath and then to Ekron, and asked to "let it go again to his own place."
