Barnabas for Kids: Bible Story & Printables
The story in a nutshell
Joses, whom the apostles surnamed Barnabas, "The son of consolation," sold his land and laid the money at the apostles' feet. When Saul came to Jerusalem, the disciples "were all afraid of him," but Barnabas took him, brought him to the apostles, and told how Saul had seen the Lord in the way and had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. Later the church sent Barnabas to Antioch, for "he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith," and he brought Saul to Antioch, where the disciples were called Christians first.
