The Ark of the Covenant for Kids: Bible Story & Printables
The story in a nutshell
The LORD told Moses how to make an ark of shittim wood, overlaid with pure gold "within and without," with four rings of gold and staves of shittim wood so it could be borne. On it went a mercy seat of pure gold with two cherubims of gold, whose wings covered the mercy seat, and in the ark went the testimony that God would give. God said, "there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat."
