Ark of the Covenant Crossword for Kids (Easy, Medium and Hard)

These free Ark of the Covenant crossword puzzles come in three levels, so every reader in your class can finish one. Every answer comes from the King James Bible (Exodus 25:10–22), and each level downloads with or without an answer key.

• Easy (ages 5–7): short answers, simple clues and a word box to pick from.
• Medium (grades K–2): more words and no word box.
• Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up each verse in their Bible to find the answer.

The Bible story

The LORD told Moses how to make an ark of shittim wood, overlaid with pure gold "within and without," with four rings of gold and staves of shittim wood so it could be borne. On it went a mercy seat of pure gold with two cherubims of gold, whose wings covered the mercy seat, and in the ark went the testimony that God would give. God said, "there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat." Read the whole story in Exodus 25:10–22 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel." (Exodus 25:22, KJV). It is printed on every level.

The easy crossword has 6 answers and a word box to pick from. The medium crossword has 8 clues like these:
