Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Matthew 26–27 and Luke 23 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.

How to use it

Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.

What's on each level

  • Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (pray, the cross, forgive them, the King, the new tomb), two "circle the number" questions (one of the twelve; one on each side) and "Christ died for us" to trace and copy.
  • Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (Gethsemane, Judas, Pilate, the crown of thorns, Simon of Cyrene, Calvary, "Father, forgive them", the new tomb), plus Romans 5:8 with four missing words.
  • Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Romans 5:8 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
  • Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.
