- God's Promise to Abraham
This God's Promise to Abraham worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Genesis 12–15 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.
How to use it
Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.
What's on each level
- Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (a new land, the altar, the tent, the stars, Abram believed), two "circle the number" questions (seventy and five years old; four ways to look) and "he believed in the LORD" to trace and copy.
- Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (a land God would show him, a great nation, Sarai, Canaan, the altar, "no strife", "I am thy shield", the stars), plus Genesis 15:6 with four missing words.
- Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Genesis 15:6 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
- Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.
Tips
- For the hard level, give each child or pair a King James Bible open to Genesis 12–15.
- Early finishers can try the God's Promise to Abraham word search, crossword or maze.
