- Isaac Is Born
This Isaac Is Born worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Genesis 18 and Genesis 21 and Genesis 22 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.
How to use it
Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.
What's on each level
- Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (the tent door, a son, Sarah laughed, the great feast, the ram), two "circle the number" questions (three men; an hundred years old) and "Is any thing too hard for the LORD" to trace and copy.
- Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (the plains of Mamre, "Sarah thy wife shall have a son", Sarah laughed, Isaac, an hundred years old, the great feast, "God will provide", the ram in the thicket), plus Genesis 18:14 with four missing words.
- Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Genesis 18:14 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
- Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.
Tips
- For the hard level, give each child or pair a King James Bible open to Genesis 18 and Genesis 21 and Genesis 22.
- Early finishers can try the Isaac Is Born word search, crossword or maze.
