Use this word search after you teach Hagar and the God Who Sees (Genesis 16:6–13; 21:14–20).

The story: When Sarai dealt hardly with her maid Hagar, Hagar fled, and the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness. He told her she would bear a son and call his name Ishmael, "because the LORD hath heard thy affliction," and Hagar called the LORD that spake unto her, "Thou God seest me." Later Abraham sent Hagar and the child away with bread and a bottle of water, and when the water was spent she wept, but "God heard the voice of the lad." God opened her eyes, she saw a well of water, and God was with the lad.

Talk about it: Big idea: God sees me, God hears me, God provides. Which word from the puzzle reminds you most of the story?

The Bible story

When Sarai dealt hardly with her maid Hagar, Hagar fled, and the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness. Read the whole story in Genesis 16:6–13; Genesis 21:14–20 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?" (Genesis 16:13, KJV). It is printed on every level.
