Talk about it: Peter followed afar off and sat down by the fire in the midst of the hall (Luke 22:54–55). Three times he said he did not know Jesus, and the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter (Luke 22:57–61). Peter remembered the word of the Lord, "and wept bitterly" (Luke 22:62).

The Bible story

When Jesus was brought into the high priest's house, Peter followed afar off and sat down among them by a fire in the midst of the hall. A certain maid said, "This man was also with him," and Peter denied him, saying, "Woman, I know him not." Two more times people said he was with Jesus, and Peter denied it; immediately the cock crew. The Lord turned and looked upon Peter, Peter remembered the word of the Lord, and he "went out, and wept bitterly." Read the whole story in Luke 22:54–62 (KJV).

Memory verse: "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." (Luke 22:32, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
