Rich Man and Lazarus Maze for Kids (Easy, Medium and Hard)

These free Rich Man and Lazarus mazes come in three levels, so every child in your class gets a maze they can finish. Help Lazarus find the way from the rich man's gate to Abraham's bosom!

• Easy (ages 4–6): one path with no wrong turns.
• Medium (grades K–2): two or three side paths that lead to dead ends.
• Hard (grades 3–5): many wrong turns, with side paths branching off other side paths.

Each level downloads on its own, with or without an answer key, and every maze has the King James verse Luke 16:31.

Talk about it: Lazarus was laid at the rich man's gate, "desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table" (Luke 16:21). When he died, he "was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom" (Luke 16:22). Abraham said, "They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them" (Luke 16:29).

The Bible story

Jesus told of a certain rich man, "clothed in purple and fine linen," and a beggar named Lazarus who was laid at his gate, "desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table." When the beggar died, he "was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom" and was comforted, but the rich man was in torment, and a great gulf was fixed between them. The rich man asked Abraham to send Lazarus to testify unto his five brethren, and Abraham said, "They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them." Read the whole story in Luke 16:19–31 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead." (Luke 16:31, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Using the mazes in class

• Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
• Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
• Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.
