Balaam's Donkey for Kids: Bible Story & Printables
The story in a nutshell
Balaam rose up in the morning, saddled his ass (a donkey) and went with the princes of Moab, and God's anger was kindled because he went. The angel of the LORD stood in the way with his sword drawn, and three times the ass saw the angel and turned aside, and three times Balaam smote her. Then "the LORD opened the mouth of the ass," and she said, "What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?" Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam; he saw the angel, bowed down his head, and said, "I have sinned," and the angel told him to speak "only the word that I shall speak unto thee."
