This Good Samaritan worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace "Go, and do thou likewise." Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Luke 10 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.

How to use it

Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.

What's on each level

  • Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (the thieves, the priest who walked by, the Samaritan who helped, the oil and wine, the inn), two "circle the number" questions (two men walked by, two coins) and "Go, and do thou likewise" (Luke 10:37) to trace and copy.
  • Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (Jericho, the thieves, the priest, the Levite, oil and wine, the inn, two pence, "he that shewed mercy"), plus Luke 10:27 with four missing words.
  • Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Luke 10:27 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
  • Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.

Luke 10:27 (KJV), "And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."
