Baby Moses

This Baby Moses worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Exodus 1–2 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.

How to use it

Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.

What's on each level

  • Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (the basket, the river, his sister watching, Pharaoh's daughter coming to wash, the crying baby), two "circle the number" questions (three months, one baby) and "to keep thee in all thy ways" to trace and copy.
  • Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (Pharaoh's order about the river, hidden three months, the ark of bulrushes, his sister, Pharaoh's daughter, the baby cried, his own mother, drawn out of the water), plus Psalm 91:11 with four missing words.
  • Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Psalm 91:11 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
  • Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.

Tips

  • For the hard level, give each child or pair a King James Bible open to Exodus 1.
  • The King James Bible calls the basket an "ark of bulrushes." The answer keys explain the old words in plain language.
  • Early finishers can try the Baby Moses word search.
  • Need the full lesson? Use the free Baby Moses Sunday school lesson, which these worksheets follow.
