Each level downloads on its own, with or without an answer key, and every maze has the King James verse Mark 12:43.

Talk about it: Jesus sat over against the treasury and beheld how the people cast money into it (Mark 12:41). A poor widow "threw in two mites, which make a farthing" (Mark 12:42). Jesus said she "did cast in all that she had, even all her living" (Mark 12:44).

The Bible story

Jesus sat over against the treasury and beheld how the people cast money into it, and many that were rich cast in much. Then a certain poor widow threw in two mites, which make a farthing. Jesus called His disciples and said, "this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury," for they gave "of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living." Read the whole story in Mark 12:41–44 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:" (Mark 12:43, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Using the mazes in class

  • Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
  • Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
  • Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.

Answer keys

Each level downloads two ways: the puzzle on its own, or with a second page that shows the answer (the path drawn in red). Print the key for helpers, or let kids check their own work.
