The Bible story

When Abram came back and God had delivered his enemies into his hand, Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine; he was "the priest of the most high God." He blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth," and Abram gave him tithes of all. Then Abram told the king of Sodom he would not take "from a thread even to a shoelatchet," lest the king should say, "I have made Abram rich." Read the whole story in Genesis 14:17–24 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:" (Genesis 14:19, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Using the mazes in class

  • Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
  • Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
  • Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.

Answer keys

Each level downloads two ways: the puzzle on its own, or with a second page that shows the answer (the path drawn in red). Print the key for helpers, or let kids check their own work.
