The Bible story

A leper came to Jesus, kneeling down to him and saying, "If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean." Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand and touched him and said, "I will; be thou clean," and immediately the leprosy departed from him. Jesus told him to say nothing to any man but to shew himself to the priest, but he went out and began to publish it much, and they came to Jesus from every quarter. Read the whole story in Mark 1:40–45 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean." (Mark 1:41, KJV). It is printed on every level.

Using the mazes in class

  • Give each child the level they can finish: the easy maze for ages 4–6, medium for kindergarten to 2nd grade, hard for 3rd to 5th grade.
  • Tell the story first, then let kids trace the path with a finger before they use a pencil or crayon.
  • Say the memory verse together when they reach the end, then read the "Talk about it" box on the sheet.

Answer keys

Each level downloads two ways: the puzzle on its own, or with a second page that shows the answer (the path drawn in red). Print the key for helpers, or let kids check their own work.
