Rehoboam and the Divided Kingdom Crossword for Kids

These free Rehoboam and the Divided Kingdom crossword puzzles come in three levels, so every reader in your class can finish one. Every answer comes from the King James Bible (1 Kings 12:1–20), and each level downloads with or without an answer key.

The Bible story

All Israel came to Shechem to make Rehoboam king, and they asked him to make his father's "heavy yoke" lighter. The old men told him to "speak good words to them," but he "forsook the counsel of the old men" and listened to the young men that were grown up with him. He answered the people roughly, "I will add to your yoke," so Israel rebelled against the house of David and made Jeroboam king, and "there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only." Read the whole story in 1 Kings 12:1–20 (KJV).

Memory verse: "And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever." (1 Kings 12:7, KJV). It is printed on every level.
