- Time
- 15 to 30 minutes
- Scripture
- Genesis 5:21–24; Hebrews 11:5
- Bible story
- Enoch Walked with God
What you need
- The printed template (page 2), one per child (cardstock is sturdiest)
- Crayons or markers in light blue, yellow, green and brown
- Scissors and a glue stick
- The printed hill flap page (page 3), one per child (harder level)
Steps
- Color the card: the sky light blue, the sun yellow, the hills and grass green and the path brown.

- Color the 4 footprint circles: the circles yellow and the sandal prints brown.
- Cut out the card, the 4 footprint circles and the verse strip on the dashed lines. Help younger children with the cutting.

- Glue the footprint circles on the 4 dotted circles on the path, starting at the bottom of the path and going up the hill.
- Turn the card over. Glue the verse strip on the back and read it together.
- Tell it: walk two fingers up the path, one footprint at a time, as you say, "Enoch walked with God" (Genesis 5:22). At the top, say, "and he was not; for God took him" (5:24). Enoch did not die (Hebrews 11:5).

This Enoch craft turns one printed page into a path card where sandal footprints walk up a hill. "Enoch walked with God" for three hundred years (Genesis 5:22), "and he was not; for God took him" (5:24). Kids color the sky, the hills and the path and glue four footprint circles up the path, one step at a time. Hebrews 11:5 says Enoch did not see death, and before God took him "he had this testimony, that he pleased God." It comes in three levels, with the template and teacher notes in one free PDF.

Why this craft works
- Cheap and simple: one printed page, glue, crayons and scissors.
- Kids can tell the story with it: walk two fingers up the path the way Enoch walked with God (Genesis 5:22, 5:24).
- It follows the Bible closely: the footprints stop at the top, because God took Enoch and he "was not found" (Hebrews 11:5). No chariot, whirlwind or light is added.
- It points to God: Enoch walked with God by faith and pleased Him (Hebrews 11:5), and kids can walk with God too.
- It carries the verse home: Genesis 5:24 (KJV) is glued on the back of the card.
Three ways to make it
- Easy (preschool, ages 3–5): you cut out the pieces. Kids color and glue the footprints up the path. No scissors.
- Medium (grades K–2): the craft in the first photo. Kids color, cut out and glue the pieces themselves.
- Harder (grades 3–5): the craft in the second photo. Kids also add a hill flap from page 3 at the top of the path. Lift it, and the footprints stop: Enoch "was not found, because God had translated him" (Hebrews 11:5).
Questions to ask
While kids work, ask who Enoch's son was (Genesis 5:21), how long Enoch walked with God (5:22), how many years he lived (5:23), what happened to him (5:24), whether he died (Hebrews 11:5) and what everyone knew about him (Hebrews 11:5). Then read Genesis 5:24 together.
Tips for the classroom
Cardstock keeps the card stiff enough to "walk" fingers on. For preschoolers, cut out the pieces ahead of time. The Bible doesn't say how God took Enoch, so the craft doesn't show it: the footprints simply stop.

Frequently asked questions
How do you make a simple Enoch craft for preschoolers?
Cut out each child's card, footprint circles and verse strip ahead of time. Preschoolers color the sky, the hills and the path, then glue the four footprint circles up the path while you say "Enoch walked with God." Glue the verse on the back for them. It takes about 15 minutes with no cutting by the kids.
How much does this Enoch craft cost?
Under 50 cents a child: one printed page, a little glue, and crayons you already have. The template is free to print. The harder level adds a second page.
What Bible verse goes with this craft?
Genesis 5:24 (KJV): "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." It is printed on the verse strip that goes on the back of the card.
How can older kids make this craft harder?
Use the harder level for grades 3–5. Kids also cut out a hill flap from page 3, fold it and glue its strip at the top of the path, so it hides the last footprints. Lift the flap and the footprints stop: Enoch "was not found, because God had translated him" (Hebrews 11:5).
