Solomon Builds the Temple for Kids: Bible Story & Printables
The story in a nutshell
In the fourth year of his reign, king Solomon began to build the house of the LORD of stone made ready before it was brought, "so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building." He lined it with boards of cedar, overlaid it within with pure gold, and was seven years in building it. Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant into the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubims, and "the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD."
