King Manasseh for Kids: Bible Story & Printables
The story in a nutshell
Manasseh "was twelve years old when he began to reign," but he "did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD," building altars for Baalim and setting an idol in the house of God. The LORD spake to Manasseh and to his people, "but they would not hearken," so the captains of the king of Assyria bound him with fetters and carried him to Babylon. There he "humbled himself greatly" and prayed, and God heard him and brought him again to Jerusalem: "Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God." He took the idol out of the house of the LORD, repaired the altar of the LORD, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.
