Daniel's Diet for Kids: Bible Story & Printables
The story in a nutshell
Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah were among the children of Israel brought to be taught in the palace of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and the king appointed them a daily provision of his meat and wine. But "Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself" with it, and he asked Melzar to prove them ten days with pulse (food grown from seeds) to eat and water to drink. At the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the king's meat, and God gave them knowledge and wisdom, so that "among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah."
