Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in John 3 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.

How to use it

Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.

What's on each level

  • Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (a ruler of the Jews, by night, born of water and of the Spirit, born again, God so loved the world), two "circle the number" questions ("born again" twice; "Verily, verily" three times) and "God so loved the world" to trace and copy.
  • Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (Nicodemus, by night, a teacher come from God, born again, born of water and of the Spirit, the wind, Moses, light come into the world), plus John 3:16 with four missing words.
  • Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write John 3:16 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
  • Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.
