Jesus and Nicodemus

Print this Jesus and Nicodemus coloring page to go with your lesson on John 3:1–21.

Tell the story while they color: Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, "came to Jesus by night." Jesus told him, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God," and, "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." Then Jesus said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:2–5, 16).

Ask: Jesus told Nicodemus he must be born again, of water and of the Spirit. What do you think it means to be born again?
