The Golden Rule

Use this word search after you teach The Golden Rule (Matthew 7:7–12).

The story: Jesus taught, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." If a father knows how to give good gifts to his children, "how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" So Jesus said, "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."

Talk about it: Big idea: Treat others the way you want to be treated, God gives good gifts. Which word from the puzzle reminds you most of the story?

Three levels: easy (ages 4–6) has 6 big words that go only across and down; medium (grades K–2) has 10 words that also go diagonally; hard (grades 3–5) has 16 words that go every direction, even backwards. Each downloads with or without an answer key.
