John the Baptist

These free John the Baptist mazes come in three levels, so every child in your class gets a maze they can finish. Help John go from the wilderness into all the country about Jordan!

  • Easy (ages 4–6): one path with no wrong turns.
  • Medium (grades K–2): two or three side paths that lead to dead ends.
  • Hard (grades 3–5): many wrong turns, with side paths branching off other side paths.

Each level downloads on its own, with or without an answer key, and every maze has the King James verse John 1:29.

Talk about it: The word of God came unto John in the wilderness, and he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins (Luke 3:2–3). When John saw Jesus coming, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29).

Use them after the John the Baptist Bible story page, with the crossword and word search.
