The Golden Calf

Print this The Golden Calf coloring page to go with your lesson on Exodus 32.

Tell the story while they color: While Moses was on the mount with God, the people asked Aaron for gods, and he made a molten calf from their gold. Moses "went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides." Joshua was with him and heard the noise of the camp. When Moses came near and saw the calf, he was very angry and broke the tables (Exodus 32:4, 15–17, 19). Then Moses prayed for the people.

Ask: God said, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Why do you think the people forgot God so quickly, and how can we remember Him?
