Tell the story while they color: King Nebuchadnezzar commanded everyone to bow to a golden image. Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego said, "We will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." They were cast into the burning fiery furnace, and the king cried, "Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt." When they came out, "the fire had no power," and "nor the smell of fire had passed on them" (Daniel 3:18, 25, 27).
Ask: Why would the three friends not bow to the golden image? How many men did the king see in the fire?
