- The Ten Plagues
This Ten Plagues worksheet comes in three free printable levels, so every class can use it. Easy (ages 4–6): kids circle the right word, circle the number and trace part of the memory verse. Medium (grades K–2): kids fill in eight story facts from a word box. Hard (grades 3–5): kids look up eight answers in Exodus 7–11 and Exodus 12 and write the memory verse from memory. Each level downloads by itself or with an answer key page.
How to use it
Teach the story first, then hand out the worksheet as review. Pick the level that fits your kids, or print two levels for a class with mixed ages. For pre-readers, read each sentence and both choices out loud and let them circle.
What's on each level
- Easy, ages 4–6: five sentences with two choices to circle (blood, frogs, lice, hail, light), two "circle the number" questions (three days of darkness; one plague more) and "to shew in thee my power" to trace and copy.
- Medium, grades K–2: a word box and eight fill-in-the-blank facts (Aaron's rod became a serpent, the river turned to blood, the frogs, "the finger of God", no hail in Goshen, the locusts, the thick darkness, light in their dwellings), plus Exodus 9:16 with four missing words.
- Hard, grades 3–5: no word box. Kids read the verse given for each of eight questions and write the answer, write Exodus 9:16 with only the first letters given, and answer one "think about it" question.
- Answer keys: every level has one, with a Bible reference for each answer.
Tips
- For the hard level, give each child or pair a King James Bible open to Exodus 7–11 and Exodus 12.
- Early finishers can try the Ten Plagues word search, crossword or maze.
