The story: Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man, "but he was a leper," and a little maid from Israel who waited on his wife said the prophet in Samaria "would recover him of his leprosy." Elisha sent word, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times... and thou shalt be clean," and though Naaman went away in a rage at first, his servants urged him, and he "dipped himself seven times in Jordan... and he was clean." Then Naaman said, "now I know that there is no God in all earth, but in Israel."
