The story: Joseph's brethren envied him and sold him into Egypt, where he was put in prison, but "the LORD was with Joseph." Pharaoh set him "over all the land of Egypt," and Joseph gathered corn, so when the famine came, "all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn." When his brothers asked him to forgive them, Joseph said, "ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good... to save much people alive," and he comforted them.
