Six days before the passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom He raised from the dead, and they made Him a supper; Martha served. Mary took "a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly," anointed the feet of Jesus, and "wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment." Judas Iscariot asked why it was not sold for three hundred pence and given to the poor, but Jesus said, "Let her alone." Read the whole story in John 12:1–8 (KJV).

Memory verse: "Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment." (John 12:3, KJV). It is printed on every level.
