1. Christmas Bible trivia
Split into teams and use our 20 Christmas Bible trivia questions. Give a bonus point to the first team to find the reference in a Bible.
2. Nativity charades
Write characters and objects on slips: Mary, Joseph, donkey, angel, shepherd, sheep, wise man, star, manger, innkeeper, King Herod. A child acts one out without words while their team guesses.
3. Star relay
Teams line up. Each child runs to the "Bethlehem" wall carrying a paper star, tapes it up, and runs back. First team to make a full star path wins. Talk about how the wise men followed the star (Matthew 2:9).
4. Find the Baby Jesus
Hide a small baby doll (or a paper "Baby Jesus" picture) somewhere in the room while kids cover their eyes. The finder hides it next. Connect it to the shepherds hurrying to find Jesus (Luke 2:16).
5. Gift wrap relay
Each team wraps a box as fast as it can, one strip of tape per child. Afterward ask: What gifts did the wise men bring? (Gold, frankincense and myrrh, Matthew 2:11.) What is God's greatest gift? (Jesus.)
6. Christmas word search race
Hand out our Christmas word searches and see who finds five words first. Great for a calm-down activity after the active games.
